The guest speaker of the event was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration and Justice Mr Tibor Navracsics.

Opening the session, British Ambassador Greg Dorey – who is a member of the Tranparency Group of Ambassadors – emphasised the commitment of the British Government to transparency and the British Embassy's continued support for the work of Transparency International Hungary.

In his speech Mr Navracsics talked about the anti-corruption plans of the Hungarian Government. He promised to enhance the relevant work of the courts and the Prosecution Service with a significant budget uplift. Members of the print and broadcast media were present throughout."
