EC Approves Hungarian Tobacco Distribution Bill
- 21 Jun 2012 9:00 AM
The European Commission has not dissented in a notification procedure on Hungarian draft regulation for tobacco distribution, it was announced recently. Unless the government fails to adequately answer concerns raised by other member states, the draft regulation could be approved after August 17, wrote Nepszava.
The proposed bill would limit tobacco sales to small outlets and give the state greater control. The government postponed final voting in February pending the opinion from the Commission.
