Deryck Whibley’s Sum 41 is a clear and undisputed choice for the younger generation of punk fans. Deryck (also ex-husband of pop-punk princess Avril Lavigne) formed the band together with drummer Steve Jocz in 1996 in Ajax, Canada and grew to become a leader of the genre by now.
SebastiAn is a French musician, DJ and producer, mainly active in the contemporary electro house scene. Besides becoming a regular at e-music festivals and renown for his special remixes, SebastiAn’s music also appears in several movies and video games. His debut album, Total was released last May, gathering great critics ever since.
Leftfield is the legendary formation of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley, probably the most popular act of the British party culture from the 90s. After producing some of the most important emusic pieces of the scene, they stopped working together in 2002, only to celebrate a successful comeback recently. Their gig is surely a cool presentation for both the experienced and new fans of electronic music.
Important to note: SebastiAn is one of the many quality acts performing at the Meduza Nights program section of the A38 Stage. If you were a fan of the old Meduza venue, you will surely love to spend your nights at A38.
And some more good news for e-music fans is provided by the confirmation of the Egyptian trance duo Aly & Fila, and the British DJ and producer Lange featuring Betsie Larkin for the mighty Arena venue.
