Budapest Labour Relatively Cheap

Hourly wages in Budapest are relatively low, investment bank UBS found in its latest study examining 72 cities. The survey, conducted in May, looked at four professions in manufacturing and 11 in the services sector.
The average net $4.60 per hour earned in Budapest is on a level with pay rates in Bangkok and Beijing. Moscow headed the list with an average net hourly wage of $8.50, whilst Kiev has the cheapest labour at $2.80 net per hour.
The survey found that a bus driver or teacher in Cairo receives only 1.5% as much as his or her counterparts in Luxembourg.
