RTL Klub To Launch New Channel In Hungary

The commercial television station RTL Klub will launch a second channel with entertainment programs, RTL II, on October 1 in a bid to further increase its viewers and profits, Nepszabadsag reports. A nationwide campaign to promote the new channel has been launched, and a detailed programme will be made public in the middle of September.
RTL posted profits of Ft 2.6 billion last year, while rival station TV2 posted losses of Ft 8.94 billion.
TV2 will also launch a new station, called SuperTV2, in November, managing director Zsolt Simon previously told news website Index.
