Hungary's PM Orbán Cautions Against Self-Pity
Hungary must overcome self-pity and the culture of pessismism, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in a speech to the second meeting of the Hungarian Diaspora Council in Parliament on Monday. Instead of self-pity, he declared, Hungarians need to develop a culture of “just getting on with it”.

Turning to a wider picture, Orbán said the coming phase of European social development will be built on traditional values in the spirit of the Ten Commandments, on bolstering the family and on the rebirth of nations.

However, Orbán continued, this idea is rejected most vehemently by the West European political elite, whose members are mostly of the 1968 generation, which is opposed to Hungary.
