Xpat Opinion: Restaurant Review: A Presto Pizza & Pasta In Budapest
While New York Pizza is still tops in my book, there is a new kid on the block and they are getting a lot of things right. A Presto Pizza and Pasta opened its doors just a couple months ago at Hajos u. 13 just across from the Opera House and a few doors down from Treehugger Dan's.

The young owners/staff are friendly, quick, and have put together an interesting and tasty menu. They offer a variety of pizzas by the slice for 250 huf, with fresh, not canned vegetables.

I have also tried their spinach gnocchi in gorgonzola sauce (990 huf), and tortellini stuffed with pumpkin in cream sauce topped with spinach (1290). Both dishes were plate-wiping good, but I missed a piece of pizza bread or rolls to mop up the sauce. Even though Hajos u. is awash with restaurants, I have found their offerings bleak and service poor.

The area really needed a place for quick and good lunches, and it seems that now they have it. Breakfast is also available. Open 8-22, and yes, they deliver. Let's hope they carry on!
