Hilton Vintage Cocktail: Barrel Aged Cocktail Offer Throughout December

Aging cocktails in wood barrels can soften harsh edges and add layers of flavor. Plus, the results make a remarkable holiday gift. Barrel aged cocktails are one of the latest trends in mixology in which pre-mixed drinks are placed in barrels for a few weeks. The technique's purpose is to change the cocktail's character and flavor, mellowing the mix in the same way wines and distilled spirits are aged.
According these trends Bartenders of the Hilton Budapest filled an oak wood cask with a premixed drink of 3 sorts of sour cherry „palinka” a traditional Hungarian spirit. During the 10 weeks of aging the wood and the air together with the original flavours, like the sour cherry and honey created the harmonius blend of our Hilton Vintage Cocktail.
