Biofilter Environmental Inc. was recognized among the top 10 companies of Europe by European Business Awards. 600 firms from 29 countries competed for the prize. Biofilter built an effective national network to collect hazardous household waste, primarily used cooking oil, and went on to produce energy using an innovative process. The method is so successful that they have already franchised it in Greece and Romania.
