Updated: Battery-Only Electric Vehicles in Hungary Up Over 77,000
The number of battery-only electric vehicles registered in Hungary rose by more than 2,900 in March to over 77,000, the Energy Affairs Ministry said in a post on social media.

Out of the new registrations, 2,700 were for passenger cars, the ministry said.

The ministry noted that the number of fully electric cars is up from little over 7,700 in January 2020.

Meanwhile, Used car imports climb 12.5pc in Q1

Used car imports rose 12.5pc year-on-year to 30,625, listings site Joautok.hu said on Thursday, citing figures compiled by DataHouse.

For the month of March alone, used car imports rose 22pc year-on-year to 10,489.

Meanwhile, Commercial vehicle road toll revenue reaches HUF 656bn in 2024

Tolls on commercial vehicles generated revenue of more than HUF 656bn in 2024, toll system operator NUSZ said.

Vehicles with foreign number plates accounted for close to HUF 350bn of the total. Lorries and trucks with Romanian number plates, paid the most of that: HUF 132bn. Vehicles with Polish plates paid HUF 48bn and ones with Bulgarian plates HUF 33bn.
