Anthrax Found On Sheep Farm In Hungary
The Animal Health Institute has detected anthrax among a flock of 210 sheep in Jászladány, Jász county, Regional Development state secretary Endre Kardeván told reporters on Monday. He said government authorities are in full control of the situation, stressing that anthrax has not been detected in any humans and the farm has been placed under quarantine.

Kardeván said all animals near the village have been tested and an operation has begun to inoculate them.

The origin of the infection has not yet been ascertained.

Several sheep had died on the farm, but their owner did not report the matter to authorities.
