The largest corn processing plant in EU, Hungrana Bioeconomy Ltd, has invested HUF 1 billion in the recently opened alcohol production factory in the small Hungarian village of Szabadegyháza.
At the factory’s opening ceremony Rural Development Minister Sándor Fazekas characterized the project as a milestone in the food industry that uses world-class technology, has great capacity, and does not interfere with the Hungarian government’s visions.
The factory will mainly produce raw materials for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
“The company uses genetic-modification-free corn without producing waste”, emphasized the Minister.
The high-quality 96% ethanol and 99% water-free ethanol products have a globally high demand.
