Hungarian Town Debrecen Bans Homeless From Centre
Homeless people are banned from downtown Debrecen and the city’s Nagyerd forest, under a resolution passed by the city council on Thursday.

The number of homeless persons in Debrecen is estimated at 500-600. They mostly spend the harshest winter nights in stairways, in derelict properties, in lean-tos built from cardboard boxes or timber, in tents or in covered bus stations and wooded areas.
