The exhibition was opened by Human Resources Minister Zoltán Balog and Mária Schmidt, head of Budapest’s House of Terror Museum. In his address, Balog said the Hungarian nation and the whole European Christian community owed Mindszenty a proper assessment of his life achievement. Schmidt said it was a responsibility for the present generation to preserve and hand down Mindszenty’s example.
