Hungarian Cabinet To Invite OSCE Observers
The cabinet will formally invite the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) to send international observers to monitor the parliamentary elections, according to government documents obtained by Népszabadság.

The opposition last called on the government to request international observers in November.

The Socialist Party said at least 1,000 observers will be needed. The OSCE will decide on the exact number of observers.

President János Áder has not yet designated a date for the elections, but unofficial statements by Fidesz politicians and remarks by Áder suggest that the date will be April 6.
