The use of force only aggravates the extremely complex and dangerous situation, therefore the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary calls on the parties to start a dialogue.

The current situation demands a responsible behaviour from all those involved, and negotiations can offer the only chance to find a solution that best serves the country's interest.

The Ministry also calls on the Ukrainian authorities to respect the citizens’ right to assemble and their freedom of expression.
