Hungary’s Gov To Decide On Another Utility Prices Cut This Week
The working group of the ruling Fidesz party this week will put forward a proposal for another cut in household utility prices. Fidesz lawmaker Szilárd Németh told commercial HírTV that the group would have to decide on the date and percentage of the reduction. Since the government enacted the scheme, households have been paying altogether 13 billion forints less to utility providers, he added.

Last year, the government mandated two cuts to utility prices, saving households a combined 20% on their gas, electricity and district heating bills.
