OSCE Election Observers Arrive In Budapest
International election observers have arrived in Budapest without preconceptions and they will monitor the general election in April in line with the regular methodology, head of the OSCE limited election observation mission Audrey Glover said on Wednesday.

The expert of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights said the mission is not concerned about the outcome of the election but will focus on the fulfilment of obligations undertaken by Hungary as a participating state.

The principles of equality, impartiality and secrecy must be followed, and the results must be compiled properly and published in a transparent way, she said. The task of the delegation is the technical assessment of the election procedure, she said.

It is up to Hungarian society, the parties and the government how this will be utilised, she added.
