Fidesz Calls Supporters To Saturday Rally In Budapest

The ruling Fidesz party and its Christian Democrat ally have invited supporters to a rally on May 10, when Hungary’s new parliament re-elects Viktor Orbán as prime minister, senior Fidesz officials said on Wednesday.
The rally is scheduled to start at 3pm in Kossuth Square in front of Parliament, coinciding with the start of the parliamentary session, public relations director Zsolt Nyitrai and MEP candidate Csaba Dömötör told a press conference.
Orbán’s oath-taking ceremony and short address in the national assembly will be displayed live on giant screens. The rally will be addressed by the prime minister.
