Mercedes Hungary Doubles Revenues
Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary posted €2.1 billion in revenues last year, up from €900 million in 2012, chief financial officer Ekkehard Philipp announced yesterday.

The carmaker plans to boost annual output at the Kecskemét plant from 109,000 last year to 145,000 this year.

After investing €800 million in setting up the factory, Mercedes has invested a further €5 million in technology development.

Ingo Fröhlich, CEO of Mercedes Benz Hungary, pointed out that Mercedes Benz was the world’s fastest-growing car maker in the premium segment last year, and that 10% of the cars sold were made in Hungary.
