Hungary’s KFOR Contingent Ready For Peacekeeping
Hungary’s enlarged contingent dispatched to serve in Kosovo has been fully prepared to perform all peacekeeping-related tasks, according to the defence ministry. The Hungarian army has expanded the contingent to serve within KFOR missions in Pristina and Novo Selo at the request of NATO and Kosovo security forces, it said.

The number of Hungarian troops has expanded by 120 to 300 and they arrived at their mission posts in August.

Hungarian troops have been serving on peacekeeping missions in the Western Balkans since 1995 and in KFOR since 1999, it added.
