Int Security Affairs Derek Chollet Met Hungarian Officials

Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Derek Chollet met yesterday in Budapest with Hungarian officials in the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Prime Minister's Office, and opposition leaders in Parliament.
The discussions focused on outcomes from last week's NATO Summit in Wales, to include substantial security issues such as the Ukraine crisis and common efforts to address the ISIL threat.
Assistant Secretary Chollet and his Hungarian counterparts also discussed bilateral issues related to our defense relationship and the importance that the United States places on maintaining press freedoms and a strong civil society.
