Hungarian Start-Ups Advise Against Internet Tax
A group representing globally recognised Hungarian start-ups, including NNG, Prezi and Ustream, issued a statement in defence of the internet on Thursday after the government submitted a budget bill that still includes the proposed internet tax.

“Without free access to broadband internet, companies like NNG, Prezi and Ustream would not have managed to reach hundreds of millions of users in the world,” high-tech association Bridge Budapest declared.

“The internet was necessary for our success. And it is needed for a lot of folks who are working on their start-ups”, said Péter Árvai, co-founder and owner of online presentation software Prezi, which has 45 million users globally.
