Minister: Hungary Must Create Right Legal Climate For Investors
Hungary needs an appropriate legal environment in order to make sure that foreign firms investing here feel secure, the justice minister said at an event with the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Parliament.

“It is necessary for regulations to be clear and comprehensible, and we should ensure a sufficient preparation time for companies to adjust to new rules,” László Trócsányi said at the ceremonial signing of a strategic agreement between the government and AmCham.

In this way they can operate in Hungary in a legal environment in which it is genuinely possible to invest, he said, adding that it was in this spirit that the government was renewing its strategic partnership with AmCham.

Vilmos Benkő, AmCham’s chairman, said that a key issue for the organisation was investor trust. The framework agreement drafted in 2011 and now renewed serves this purpose, he added.
