Trial Begins In Hungary Over Sale Of Moscow Office
- 13 Nov 2014 8:00 AM
Former ambassador to Russia Árpád Székely pleaded innocent yesterday as the criminal trial began regarding the sale of the trade centre building in Moscow in 2008. Prosecutors say the government sold the centre without a tender for $23 million, although it was worth $108 million.
Székely said that as an ambassador he was not an asset manager and therefore he could not have sold the building.
