- 22 Jan 2015 3:00 AM
Talks between the government and professional associations on the effect of lower vehicle fuel prices on the cost of food are expected to take place early next week, according to Magyar Nemzet.
The press office of governing Fidesz told the paper the talks would involve the Hungarian Bakers’ Association and the National Association of Food Processors.
Speaking on public television, Economy Minister Mihály Varga said that, as a market economy, Hungary does not regulate prices, but the muted impact of lower vehicle fuel prices on the prices of other products needs investigating.
