Literary Dinner With Sophie Hannah @ Bródy Studios Budapest, 28 January
On Wednesday 28th January Rosie Apponyi welcomes the finest in British crime writing to Brody Studios. Agatha Christie is the best-selling novelist of all time. Since the publication of her first novel in 1920, more than two billion copies of her books have been sold around the globe. Now, for the first time ever, the Christie estate has approved a brand-new novel featuring Dame Agatha’s most beloved creation, Hercule Poirot.

Four decades since he last taxed his little grey cells, Sophie Hannah has breathed new life into the mustachioed Belgian in “The Monogram Murders”. Sophie is published in twenty-seven countries, an internationally best-selling writer of psychological crime; her books have been adapted for television, her poetry is studied at degree level and her previous novel, “The Carrier”, won Crime Thriller of the Year at the National Book Awards.

Sophie’s December visit was delayed by traditional London smog. In clear-skied 2015, join her for dinner with Hercule on 28th January as we plunge into the 1920s mystery of the Monogram Murders, a diabolically clever puzzle sure to baffle and delight.

The evening is structured around an author talk followed by a book-inspired menu of deadly delicacies, from Agatha’s Mesopotamian alibi to Red Herring with beetroot, and Sophie’s Silver Bullet will aid your deductions.

London’s Guardian newspaper considers Brody Studios “Budapest’s epicentre of cool” whilst The Telegraph describes Rosie’s literary dinners as “delicious food, lashings of good wine, and a terrific atmosphere”.

An exciting collaboration, Rosie’s Literary Dinners at Brody Studios promise a unique experience for readers and diners alike; bespoke menus and the company of fellow bibliophiles together with literary superstars.
