Voler Mouche
The music of Voler Mouche is a fusion of (nu) jazz, trip-hop, lounge, bossa nova and other electronic musical styles inspired by both classical and contemporary music. The sound of the band is strongly determined by the acoustic and electronic vintage instruments they use.
The story of the band goes back to as far as 2005, the year when Ádám Miski founds Voler Mouche, an electronic live-act group (vocals, guitar, violin, sampler and keyboards).
In the spring of 2008 the group shoots their first video for the song called Spring is Here. In the summer of the same year, after months of several changes in the line-up, guitarist, composer and lyricist Péter Szarvas and lyricist Attila Bánovics join the group. Having become a real band, they give a couple of successful gigs, like the introductory concert in front of a local audience at the Savaria Historical Carnival in 2008, or the remarkable shows given as part of a nationwide series of musical events named Hangfoglalás.
In 2009 Voler Mouche go to studio to record their first album called Violet Rainbow. The album debut concert is extremely well-received by the audience.
Bass guitarist Milán Scheer joins the band in 2010 making his first appearance at Mediawave Festival, Szombathely. In the meantime the band releases a new video called Down the Steps.
Voler Mouche give successful concerts at several festivals and are invited to play on a show called “Akusztik”, a program of Petőfi Rádió, one of Hungary’s most popular radio stations. The autumn that year sees the flying flies (voler mouche) in Brussels, where, again, they give a sequence of great concerts.
After returning home, Flóra Kiss takes over lead singing in the band. Her first gig with the band takes place at concert ship A38, Budapest, in front of an enthusiastic audience. The concert is recorded by the Hungarian Television. Since that time the band has been playing with the same electronic line-up.
The next video of Voler Mouche called Fizzy Water is published at the end of 2011 and is viewed on the Internet by nearly 1,000 people on the day of its publication. In 2012, besides giving concerts, the band is focusing on writing new songs and making a new album.
