'Kerala Dust', Akvárium Klub Budapest, 20 September
- 8 May 2025 12:17 PM

Kerala Dust have recently released their latest single Bell, a hypnotic blend of blues, psychedelic rock and techno that sounds like a hazy memory, cinematic, pulsating and impossible to shake. And the first track from their forthcoming album, the An Echo of Love.
Bell is a clear sign of Kerala Dust's evolution and also sets the path for their forthcoming album, which will plough the dancefloor with energies of art rock, electronica, americana and desert blues.
With new members, keyboardist Tim Gardner and drummer Pascal Karier, alongside band founders Edmund Kenny (vocals, electronics) and Lawrence Howarth (guitar), their recent experiences of touring heavily after their 2023 album Violet Drive shaped the recording sessions of ‘Bell’ and the new album with Edmund’s personal struggles during this period deeply impacting both his personal life and his connection with the audience.
He felt a desire for more proximity with listeners, reflecting a shift in how he approached the recording process.
Kerala Dust was formed in London in 2016 and inspired by CAN, Tomw Waits and The Velvet Underground. The band have performed all over the world and are fortunately no strangers to the Hungarian fans neither.
Now, alongside Bell, - and hopefully with other new song sas well – they return to Hungary, to play on 20 September at Akvárium Klub.
