Tourist Information @ Sziget Festival Budapest

Budapest Festival and Tourism Center (BFTK) is operating a Budapestinfo Point at Sziget for the duration of the festival, the purpose of which is to supply festival-goers with information about the capital’s many tourist and cultural attractions. As official representative of the Budapest Municipality, BFTK assists in developing the positive international image of Budapest through the organization of a series of festivals in the capital, the quality representation of tourism services and the provision of information, so Budapestinfo Point is the best and most reliable source of information for tourists.
During Sziget, staff of Budapest Festival and Tourism Center are on hand with tourist information, programmes, free maps and a guide to help anyone planning to make tours of Budapest, but for those who don’t want to leave the festival venue, BFTK has something that will give them an idea of the diverse attractions and atmosphere of the city: by pedalling on fixed bikes it is possible to take a ‘virtual tour’ of Budapest.
Several interactive games and a tourist questionnaire at the Budapestinfo Point are designed to inform the audience and tourists about Budapest. BFTK is promoting an Instagram photo tender and is joining in the Budapest in 100 Words story-writing competition.
Among the prizes on offer from BFTK is a free, 2-hour sightseeing tour by bus, as well as a 2-day Budapest stay complete with Budapest Card discounts, accommodation and breakfast.
Fans of street food have the chance to sample bagel rings from the Budapest Bakering car stopping off at the Budapestinfo Point each afternoon. Then in the evening it is worth taking a selfie at the illuminated Budapest letters.
