Imports Account For One-Third Of Hungary’s Electricity Consumption In Jan Sept
Imports accounted for almost one-third of Hungary’s electricity consumption in January-September, according to data released by transmission system operator Mavir. Imports of electricity amounted to 10.6 TW or 32.7% of Hungary’s total consumption of 32.4 TW during the period.

The amount of domesticallygenerated electricity consumed was 21.8 TW. The ratio of imports within total consumption was highest in April.

During all of last year, electricity consumption amounted to almost 42.6 TW, including 31.4% of imported electricity.
