E-Commerce In Hungary Up By A Fifth

E-commerce in Hungary rose by 20%, daily Világgazdaság said citing company surveys. Among the businesses polled by the daily, Extreme Digital expected its online turnover to rise by 50% in 2015 from a year earlier. The number of transactions rose more, by 60-70%, CEO Balázs Várkonyi said. Book sales at Libri and Bookline/ Shopline are expected to rise by about 5-10% and in other divisions by 15-20%, business development director András Deák said.
The turnover of Tchibo’s webshop in Hungary could rise by 20-25% this year.
Online sales already exceed the sales of the company’s ten traditional shops, e-commerce director Norbert Németh said.
