Tesco Hungary Issuing Instant Credit Cards

Tesco has made instant credit cards available at 27 units, in co-operation with Budapest Bank, it was announced yesterday. Shoppers can apply for and obtain the Instant Tesco card within an hour, meaning they do not have to postpone their purchases, the retailer pointed out.
Budapest Bank has cut the time for assessing creditworthiness, based on the changing needs of clients, the bank said.
Bank sales director Zoltán Paragi said there was substantial demand for the new card, as credit card use goes up 20-25% during the Christmas season.
The card is also linked to the Tesco loyalty scheme.
