Awards Granted In London Mark Hungarian Culture Day

Broadbent, who founded the Joyful Company of Singers (JCS) chamber choir in 1988, received the Pro Cultura Hungarica award in 2006.
He is a dedicated fan of the contemporary Hungarian choral repertoire and an expert performer of Béla Bartók’s works.
Váci, a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, is a proponent of Hungarian organic architecture.
In the past ten years, he researched the UK relations of 19th century Hungarian statesmen Count István Széchenyi, especially with the English civil engineer William Tierney Clark who designed Budapest’s landmark Chain Bridge.
