Hungarian Casinos Yield Gambling Tax Revenue Of More Than HUF 7bn In 2015

Casinos operating in Hungary were due to pay combined gambling tax of 7.375 billion forints (EUR 23m) in 2015, state secretary of the Economy Ministry András Tállai said. Reduced by concession fees already paid, the amount came to 3.086 billion, the state secretary added in his answer to a question by opposition MP István Ikotity, published on Parliament’s website
The casinos’ combined gambling tax base was 22.457 billion forints in 2015, Tállai said, adding that it will be possible to provide information on actual 2015 gambling tax revenues from February 2016 as certain payment obligations are due in January.
