More Than Half Of Hungarians Below 40 Pro-Marriage

More than half of Hungarians below the age of 40 support marriage, according to a survey by Kód Market, Opinion and Media Research Institute commissioned by online news portal 888.hu. Fully 56% of the survey’s respondents agreed with the statement that “marriage forms the basis of a regular family life”, the website said.
Forty percent of respondents said they “accept” the institution of marriage with the right partner while 4% said they reject it altogether, saying that it is “outdated” and “useless”.
The phone survey was carried out on January 4-9 with a sample of 800 citizens aged below 40.
