Budapest Sport University Compromises On Expansion

Local residents’ opinions are being taken into account in the Ft 36.8 billion expansion of the Sports University campus on Csörsz utca in Budapest’s First District, ministerial commissioner Árpád Gyetvai told a Tuesday press conference on the plans.
In line with residents requests, the new athletic field will not infringe on the existing park, the height of new buildings will not exceed 18 metres and the athletics and football fields will not have roofs, Gyetvai said.
A total of 30,000m2 of new structures will be built, all of them at least 100 metres away from residential buildings.
