Paár added that another reason for the shortage was that wages were higher in positions on an assembly line.
Paár noted that when it comes to layoffs, a company would typically dismiss cleaners first, that is why many skilled ones will seek employment in other countries, where they get “more money, more respect”.
In “many institutions” the cleaners are fostered workers, an even cheaper solution for the employer.
