Over 200 Vehicles To Assemble At 26th Intl Truck Country Festival

Visitors can expect to view more than 200 vehicles at this year’s international truck country festival in Sziksósfürdő and Szeged, in southern Hungary, over the weekend, the organiser of the event said. Drivers will arrive with their trucks from Austria, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Romania and Serbia at the festival organised for the 26th time, Attila Ágoston said.
The festival this year will feature 30- 35 year old US trucks and veteran army vehicles as well. Drivers will gather with their vehicles on Friday afternoon at a transport monument just outside Szeged to drive through the city centre all the way to the festival site in Sziksósfürdő, Ágoston said.
Programmes on Saturday include a rally across rough terrain and a beauty contest of trucks going with a cash prize.
On Sunday the trucks will compete in a speeding race on a street in the city of Szeged, said Ágoston.
