Budapest Fifth District Leads In Crime Statistics

Budapest’s Fifth District leads in crime statistics and even the Sixth District is ahead of the infamous Eighth District, HVG reports. Mostly tourists attract thieves in the downtown districts, while robbery, pickpocketing and hooliganism are rising near restaurants.
The number of physical assaults in the Fifth District rose by 50% last year, and acts of rowdyism by more than 60%.
The Eighth District is the third most dangerous area, although the largest number of murders were committed there last year.
