Anti-Olympics Activist Attacked
An LMP activist collecting signatures for a referendum on whether Budapest should host the Olympics was hit on the head with a wine bottle, the party’s reflektor.blog reported on Thursday.

The injured person was rushed to hospital with an open wound and later released.

The incident at the underpass in Móricz Zsigmond körtér occurred around 9 a.m., when a 56-year-old man began engaging in open arguments with the activists.

He twice left and returned, then struck the activist with a wine bottle, opening a gash on his head.

Police caught the attacker and have initiated criminal proceedings.
