Police Escort Hungarian Film Director From Cannes Party
Law enforcement authorities escorted Hungarian film director György Kristóf from a party hosted after the screening of the film Out at the Cannes film festival on Monday, the director said in a message relayed to Index on Tuesday.

The film was screened in the section Un Certain Regard on Monday afternoon but it ended badly.

Kristóf said police escorted him from the party along with the Slovak producer Marek Urban and sound-engineer Jan Richter.

They were detained at the police station for hours.

Police allegedly went to the scene of the party at Villa Schweppes due to a scuffle that had broken out outside the venue.
