The International Association of the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) will hold its annual conference in Budapest from Tuesday to Friday. Around one hundred experts from over 40 countries and representatives of UNESCO and the European Union will attend the conference co-organised by Hungary’s Education Office, the office said.
IEA was founded in 1958 to evaluate the achievement of students across the world.
Some of the IEA surveys are periodically repeated, such as TIMMS (Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) or PIRLS (Progress in International Reading Literacy Study). Hungary has been a member of IEA since 1968.
