A massive scandal broke out in the Hungarian Parliament as opposition MP's lit smoke bombs in the chamber after voting for a law to ban Budapest Pride - see video below.
Opposition demonstrators at a protest in central Budapest organised by independent lawmaker Akos Hadhazy demanded the withdrawal of a recent amendment to the law on the right of assembly.
This year’s Budapest Pride march will go ahead as planned "and will be the biggest one yet", Gergely Karacsony, the city’s mayor, said on Facebook.
Judges held a demonstration in Budapest on Saturday for the freedom of the judiciary, organised by the Hungarian Judiciary Association (MABIE).
