The comedic capers continue this autumn at Brody Studios as Laugh Budapest Laugh, delivers the best of English language comedy in the city.
This month our beloved compere Dave Thomspon brings the best of international talent to stage: Carly Baker & Josh Howie.
Carly Baker
Carly Baker has been writing and performing comedy for over 10 years. Her self deprivational style is both sweet and raw. Honest, energetic and charming with a just the right bit of filth mixed in,
she’s a favourite with both men and women and everything in between.
Josh Howie
Already a much in-demand stand-up comic, performing regularly at all the major comedy clubs around the UK. Over the previous few years Josh has also taken his distinctive brand of hyper-aware humor to India, Ireland, UAE, France, Holland, China, Thailand, Switzerland, Finland, Estonia and America.
He is a fabulous storyteller who can make you concentrate in silence then erupt into a fit of giggles.
Dave Thompson
Dave is a reincarnation of the Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh Yakbim Sekhaenre’s court jester Djedptahaufankh. He entertained the pharaoh and his family for 24 years. In 1779 BC, Dave (or Djedptahaufankh as he was then known) misjudged a joke about Pharaoh Yakbim Sekhaenre’s daughter, and was ritually disembowelled. His body was thrown to the crocodiles.
In his current incarnation, Dave played Tinky Winky, the purple Teletubby.
