Incubator Zero told MTI it had earlier won around HUF 900m in support from the National R+D+I Fund. Together with its own resources, the incubator plans to invest over HUF 1bn in at least eight startups in areas such as AI, big data, cleantech and greentech.
Incubator Zero has cooperation agreements with Szechenyi Istvan University, the University of Pecs and the University of Szeged that extend to technology transfer and spin-off projects.
The incubator plans to invest a maximum of HUF 130 million in early-stage startups that have been founded within the past five years and have innovative, high growth potential. Incubation applications are open until April 30.
In the Incubator Zero portfolio, startups will not only receive funding, but will also be part of an active professional community. As part of this, the supported businesses will receive mentoring, workshops, networking events and an international network of contacts. They stated that the goal is to provide every startup with the tools and knowledge necessary to enter the international market.
The incubator has concluded three cooperation agreements with domestic universities: Széchenyi István University, the University of Pécs and the University of Szeged.
Within this framework, it works closely with the departments responsible for technology transfer at universities and continuously examines university spin-off projects.
