Budapest Airport Renews Noise Insulation Programme
Budapest Airport will renew its noise insulation programme, the manager of the Liszt Ferenc International Airport announced.

Homes located near the airport will receive an extra 6mm pane of glass on their windows free of charge.

Home owners will be notified by mail of the opportunity, and should apply for the free installation.

The programme is simple, does not require demolition and offers a quick solution for noise protection, the Budapest Airport underlined.

Citizens Losing Fight Against Unbearable Noise From Budapest Airport

    • 12 Jul 2017 8:10 AM

Life in the southern suburbs of Budapest, near Budapest Airport, is noisy and unhealthy. Planes taking off and landing make sleep at night impossible. At certain areas, the noise created cracks in walls and some people stay indoors all day in order to avoid kerosene drizzling from the sky. The problem affects hundreds of thousands of people who have been fighting the airport in courts for years – unsuccessfully.
