The Hungaroring racetrack in Mogyoród (near Budapest) is undergoing a major renovation, with significant progress already made, reports Világgazdaság.

Back in the day, as they say, Hungaroring was a curiosity because it was the first race held behind the Iron Curtain, but today it is considered one of the key race tracks, where F1 will be hosted for the 39th time in 2024.
The ongoing upgrade of the Hungaroring race track is set to cost less than the hosting fee discount Hungary negotiated last year for the extension of the track’s contract to host the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix, the head of the Prime Minister’s Office said on Monday.
