Home Sales In Hungary To Reach Ten-Year High In 2019

The number of home sales is on track to reach 175,000 this year, a ten-year high, according to real estate website ingatlan.com. 

The current record stands at 190,000 from 2007. 

The average home price in Budapest was 636,000/m² at the end of the first quarter, 13% higher than the average price in 2018. 

The launch of new government-led family support measures and the expansion of the family home subsidy scheme for used homes and in villages will stimulate the market further, analyst László Balogh said.
