EU Expats May Vote At Local Election In Hungary
Non-Hungarian EU citizens with a Hungarian address are automatically included on the list of eligible voters for the October 13 local elections.

Not only can they cast their ballot, they are also entitled to run for local office.

As such persons have the right to vote, they do not have to register or take any action to be able to take part in the elections.

Registered refugees, immigrants and those settled in Hungary can also vote in the elections, but cannot run for any office.
